Camp Tamarack is a place loved by many since its beginnings in 1935.
With that love through the decades comes much-needed facility maintenance and upkeep, as is the case with the historic exterior fireplaces at the main lodge.
With support from the Roundhouse Foundation, Camp Tamarack has been able to work with Stonehaven Masonry to restore the integrity of two fireplaces on the exterior of the main lodge. Charlie Anderson, Camp Tamarack’s Executive Director, reports that the fireplaces look:
““AMAZING! We are extremely grateful to the Roundhouse Foundation for recognizing that in order to allow for programming to take place, there also needs to be sound facilities to accommodate our programming.”
These updates mean Camp Tamarack is prepared to continue its meaningful work of supporting the social-emotional health and well-being of Central Oregon students for decades to come.
