The Casey Eye Institute at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is a premier academic medical center with an international reputation as a leader in ophthalmic care and research. At the forefront of changing the art, science and technology of 21st century eye care, a core part of Casey’s mission is simple and ambitious: to eliminate preventable blindness in Oregon and beyond.
Roundhouse Foundation is proud to support Casey Eye Institute’s work to increase rural community access to vision health screenings and treatment through a second mobile eye clinic that can travel to communities statewide, as well as expand community health worker training and certification.
These funds will expand the program by training and certifying Community Health Workers to provide preventive education, diagnostic exams, and follow-up care in their home communities; further the use of technology to deliver expertise throughout Oregon.
