– Pattern Design and Customization: Learn to create a flattering vest pattern that can be adjusted to suit various body shapes. Flora will guide participants in designing, enlarging, and tailoring the pattern for a personalized fit.
– Felting Techniques: Master a delicate layout, utilizing fiber direction for controlled shrinkage, resulting in a seamless and form-fitted garment.
– Reversible and Functional Design: Decorate the garment’s interior to make it reversible, with an option to add functional pockets.

Flóra Carlile-Kovács is a celebrated felt artist from Szeged, Hungary, now based in Seattle, WA, who brings a unique fusion of traditional nomadic and contemporary urban feltmaking. Recognized for her artistry in wearable art shows, Flora’s work emphasizes both aesthetic innovation and durability, combining European craftsmanship with practical design.
