In this one-day workshop, students will learn how to weave a traditional stake and strand willow basket. The weaving process includes learning techniques and patterns, providing the freedom to explore personal style and creativity. Students will take home a small round wicker basket woven by their own hands.

About the Artist:
Sylvia Friday is a traditional basket maker, folk artist and writer. Weaving with willow combines her love for rivers, creeks and wetlands with her love of making things with her hands.
