Please join us for the eighth Open Studio of the 2025 residency season at Pine Meadow Ranch Center for Arts & Agriculture.
Presenters for this event include artists Beth Alvarado, Ebenezer Galluzzo and Mychelle Moritz.
This event is free and open to the public. Space is limited so registration is required.
For ages 16 and older. Those under age 16 may attend accompanied by an adult.
About the Residents:
Beth Alvarado (She/Her) – Bend, OR
Beth Alvarado is the author of four books. Her essay collection Anxious Attachments won the 2020 Oregon Book Award for Creative Nonfiction and her story collection, Jillian in the Borderlands, marries the social justice novel with magical realism. Originally from the Sonoran Desert, she teaches for OSU-Cascades Low Residency MFA Program in Bend.
Ebenezer Galluzzo (He/Him) – Portland, OR
The visual image has a great impact on how people view themselves and the world around them. Ebenezer Galluzzo’s self-portraits make space to reclaim the lens through which he sees gender. He is driven by his experience as a trans man, the symbology associated with traditional westernized gender, and redefining those gender systems through photography.
Mychelle Moritz (She/Her) – Portland, OR
Mychelle is an interdisciplinary artist working from a sculptural base of clay. Her art is focused on environmental and social justice, through the lens of connection, loss, and mending as well as occasional humor. Mychelle currently lives in Portland, Oregon where in addition to her artistic practice she also works as a therapist.
